How to become a high performing general practice or Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service

This interactive workshop will incorporate mini sessions on relevant hot topics that will support your journey in becoming a high performing primary care practice. It will draw from the ten building blocks of high performing primary care framework and other evidence based methods for implementing change to achieve the Quadruple Aim of health. Participants will rotate through the following mini sessions allowing them time to gain insight, ask questions, and workshop ideas. This workshop will build on the AGPAL stage 1 Health Care Homes or Health Care Homes Readiness training.

Kirsten Meisinger - BIO

Kirsten Meisinger, MD is Medical Staff President for the Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA). She practices at the Union Square Family Health Center, an award winning Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) practice, since 1999, and has been Medical Director since 2008.

Dr. Meisinger has faculty appointments at Tufts University and Harvard Medical School, and at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI). Dr. Meisinger has done extensive consulting internationally, and is the current National Faculty Co-Chair for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) initiative “Transforming Clinical Practices Initiative” (TCPi), an initiative designed to move US practices to value-based, patient centered medical care.

Dr. Meisinger earned a BA from Brown University, her MD from Case Western Reserve University, and Family Medicine Residency at the Greater Lawrence Family Health Center. She is completing a masters at Dartmouth University. She speaks fluent Portuguese, Spanish and French.
