Dr Tina Janamian - BIO

Dr Tina Janamian (PhD, MBA, MMedSC, GCELead, JP, MAICD, BSc) is the Director of the Health Care Homes Program at the Australian General Practice Accreditation Limited (AGPAL), leading the development and implementation of the Health Care Homes training and education.

Dr Janamian has an academic background in primary health care and extensive experience strategically leading health services research programs to support Australia’s health care reform. She has a track record of effectively collaborating with a range of stakeholders and strengthening partnerships with industry, health care professionals, policy makers and consumers to maximise co-created outcomes of value for all end-users, and improve research translation into policy and practice. She has been involved with the Patient Centred Medical Home (PCMH) model since 2012, where she led a commissioned project by the Department of Health to review the PCMH model and its relevance to existing Australian primary care service delivery. Dr Janamian is passionate about investigating and implementing evidence-based innovative models of care such as the Health Care Homes model, which has the potential to reinvigorate Australian primary care by improving quality, affordability, and patient and provider experience.
